Emergency responders are actively working at the scene of a devastating bus accident on the R21 highway, where at least 14 people have lost their lives and many others have sustained injuries.
According to paramedics on-site, the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Rescue teams are still engaged in efforts to free passengers trapped inside the wreckage.
Traffic in the area has been severely impacted, with Vision Tactical reporting on X that lanes heading toward the airport have been closed.
“The lane heading to the airport is currently closed, and emergency services are attending to multiple patients. Motorists should expect major delays and consider alternative routes where possible. Please drive cautiously and allow extra travel time,” the statement read.
