At least three people lost their lives, and ten others were injured in a mini-bus accident near Mahore on Tuesday. The severely injured passengers were immediately taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment.
According to Reasi’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Paramvir Singh, the accident happened in Gangot, near Mahore. The mini-bus, a tempo traveler, was on its way from Jammu to Sanglikot when the mishap occurred.
Rescue teams were quickly sent to the location to assist the victims. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for medical care.
The exact cause of the accident is still unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation.
Previous Accident
In a similar incident last year, in September 2024, a tragic bus accident in Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir, claimed the lives of four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and injured 28 others.
The bus was transporting 35 BSF jawans for election duty during the second phase of Assembly polls, scheduled for September 25. The accident took place in the Brell Waterhail area.
Authorities continue to urge drivers to exercise caution on hilly and risky routes to prevent such tragedies.
